2018 Tips for the Weekend

With so much to see, hear, and taste, here are the important logistics and tidbits to keep you in the know:

SAFETY FIRST

Innings Festival is dedicated to keeping patrons safe. In case of emergency, we urge attendees to be alert to safety messaging coming from the following sources:

  • Push Notifications through The Official Mobile App available on Android and iOS
  • Audio Announcements at All 3 Stages
  • Real-time updates on Innings Fest Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

In the event of an evacuation, all attendees should follow the instructions of public safety officials.

Anyone in need of medical or security assistance throughout the weekend may approach any festival security or staff member for the appropriate support.

TICKETS

3-Day and 1-Day General Admission, VIP and Platinum Tickets are still available for purchase at www.inningsfestival.com/tickets, or Festival Box Office during the hours listed below. Children 7 and under get in free with a ticketed adult. All wristbands contain RFID technology and will be authenticated upon entering the gates. If your wristband needs to be replaced for some reason, there is a $20 Wristband Replacement Fee.


FESTIVAL LOCATION & HOURS:

Innings Festival takes place March 23-25 at Tempe Beach & Tempe Arts Park in Tempe, AZ.

  • Friday, March 23: 3pm-12am
  • Saturday, March 24: 3pm-12am
  • Sunday, March 25: 1:30pm-10:30pm

FESTIVAL BOX OFFICE:

The Festival Box Office is located at the Northeast corner of Ash Avenue & Rio Salado Parkway and will be open during the following times:

  • Wednesday, March 21 & Thursday, March 22: 1pm–8pm
  • Friday, March 23 & Saturday, March 24: 11am–12am
  • Sunday, March 25: 12pm–9pm

WRISTBAND ACTIVATION & CASHLESS:

Fans need to activate their wristbands before heading to the park to ensure a smooth process entering the gates. Wristband activation guarantees the wristband is associated with the person wearing it. You can associate an emergency contact to your credential, as well as help expedite any issues you might have once at the fest. To activate, visit the wristband page.

Fans can securely link their wristband to a credit or debit card to pay with a tap of the wrist at food vendors, bars, and Festival merchandise tents. To sign up for Cashless, visit the wristband page, or activate at the Wristband Registration Tent located just inside of the Main Entrance.

For iPhone users, Apple Pay is the fastest way to pay and get back to the music. It’s also accepted at all locations throughout the park. Download the Official Innings Festival Mobile App for notifications on special discounts and happy hour promotions for Apple Pay customers.


GETTING TO THE PARK:

There is no parking at Innings Festival. We encourage fans to take other eco-friendly transportation, including public transportation, ride sharing, walking and biking. A free bike valet provided by the Tempe Bicycle Action Group is located near the entrance.

Lyft is the exclusive rideshare partner of Innings Festival. Take Lyft to and from the festival and enjoy a convenient pickup and drop off location at Ash Ave. between 3rd St. and Rio Salado Pkwy. New users use code INNINGS for $5 off your first 4 rides, existing users use code INNINGS18 for 20% off your rides to/from the festival.

ADA Pick-up and Drop-Off is located at Ash Ave. between 3rd St. and Rio Salado Pkwy.

We also encourage fest-goers to use Valley Metro public transit. Attendees can use the Mill Ave/3rd St Valley Metro rail station to get to and from Tempe Beach Park. Use one of the 11 free park-and-rides to access rail stations in Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa. More information here. Valley Metro also offers bus service with stops adjacent to Tempe Beach Park. Route 48 serves Tempe Beach Park with the nearest stop at Ash Ave/Rio Salado Parkway. ENTERING THE FESTIVAL & BAG SEARCH:

The entrance to the festival is located at N. Mill Ave and E Rio Salado Parkway.

Innings Festival is committed to the safety and security of fans, artists and staff in the park. ALL bags will be searched before entry. For your safety, bags will be restricted to small purses and draw string bags and may not exceed 14″ x 11″ x 5″ (35cm x 28cm x 12cm). Backpacks and bags with multiple pockets are prohibited. Hydration packs are allowed, but must be empty and have only one additional pocket.

Fans should be prepared to have their bags searched each time they enter the festival, and should plan for extra time to get through security. Speed things up by checking out the list of prohibited items on the Information Page, and avoid bringing any prohibited materials to the park.

For faster entry, No Bag Express Lanes are located at the entrance for those not carrying a bag. 

The entrance also has dedicated Accessibility Lanes. If you have questions about accessibility while on-site please visit the Access Center near the main entrance or email access@inningsfestival.com.


OFFICIAL MOBILE APP

The Official Innings Festival Mobile App is the official festival resource complete with interactive map and custom scheduler. From brushing up on bands playing the Festival and creating the ideal Custom Schedule to mapping out the park in advance of the weekends, the app will answer all of those Innings Festival questions. Users are encouraged to opt-in for Push Notifications to receive important news and emergency information throughout the Festival. Get the app on iPhone or Android.


WATER STATIONS

Innings Festival is committed to keeping fans hydrated by offering free freshly filtered water at Water Stations located throughout the festival. Fans can bring up to 2 factory-sealed bottles (up to 1 liter each) into the park each day, or preferably an empty, refillable bottle.


FOOD IN THE PARK

Enjoy local restaurants’ putting their spin on festival fare at the Food Booths and Food Trucks at Innings Festival. Fan favorites such as Pokitrition, Kono Pizza, El Jefe Tacos, Paradise Melts and many more will be there to cure all your Festival cravings.


CHEF DEMOS

Chef Demos will take place on the Left Field Stage each day with Chef Beau MacMillan. On Friday, the Ultimate Burger Battle will bring Arizona’s Best Chefs to the stage to battle it out live in Innings Festival’s Ultimate Burger Competition! Three teams are ready to go head-to-head in this burger showdown, with mystery celebrity guests and an all-star-judge lineup.

Saturday’s Food Fight is a team relay eating and drinking display that is sure to shock the system! Think of your favorite hot dog eating contest meets a fraternity house beer drinking contest.

Sunday’s Bar Brawl will feature Arizona’s best craft cocktailers shaking it out in a three-round bout for the ultimate cocktail championship belt! Watch as these masters of mixology are put to the ultimate test with array of classic American cocktails, speed challenges, and advantage rounds.


Around The Park

MILLER LITE PARTY BAR: Miller Lite is raising one up for live music. Be sure to check out the Miller Lite Party Bar. Grab some shade, grab a beer and plot your next move – #ItsMillerTime

MALIBU RUM BEACH HOUSE: Summer comes early this year with the Malibu Rum Beach House. Cool off with refreshing cocktails and participate in the Malibu Games for awesome prizes and more. #BecauseSummer 

PLAY BALL!: Test your skills at the Home Run Derby, Speed Pitch, and Batting Cage. Activations are free and open to guests during festival hours. Visit the Info Center by the entrance or any of the baseball activations to sign a waiver and get into the game!

SPEED PITCH WITH JAKE PEAVY: Make sure you stop by the Speed Pitch activation for the special hour hosted by Jake Peavy on Sunday from 4:45-5:45pm. This is your chance to get some professional critique on that fastball. Be sure and check out the Jake Peavy Foundation and how they are helping to transform the lives of young people.

SHOP AT INNINGS: Stop by the Innings Festival Store, located near the main entrance between Home Plate and Left Field. Grab a limited-edition keepsake to remember the good times had in the park. You’ll find a great assortment of comfy retro-inspired tees, jerseys, hoodies, hats, blankets and more!

ZIA RECORDS POP-UP SHOP: Shop hundreds of awesome Vinyl + CD releases at Zia Records’ onsite pop-up shop inside the fest. Meet + greet select artists, shop merch and live the indie local record-store lifestyle. Check out more here.


INFO/ACCESSIBILITY:

Visit the Info/Access Center by the main entrance for all event related questions while on site. Festival programs, TAG-A-KID wristband registration, information on event accessibility, and other event services are offered.


LOST & FOUND:

Visit the Info/Access Center near the main entrance or visit www.inningsfestival.com/lostfound to view found items and make a lost & found claim. If you find something, please turn it into the Info/Access Center.


GETTING HOME FROM THE FEST:

Catching a ride-share home? Take Lyft from the festival and enjoy a convenient pickup and drop off location at Ash Ave. between 3rd St. and Rio Salado Pkwy.
